Finncare is equipped with two spacious function rooms for hire to host your next company meeting or family event. Our rooms are perfectly suited for all functions from birthday parties to business seminars and executive board meetings. Our main function room can accommodate groups of up to 100 persons.
We have two rooms for hire, Helsinki Room which is adjacent to our Poro Café, as well as Suomi Room which is our boardroom located in the next building from Helsinki Room and Poro Café. Besides ample space and light, our function rooms offer a full suite of AV and ICT technologies, data projectors, CD/DVD decks, microphones, speakers, multimedia pull-down screens, interactive whiteboards and Wi-Fi internet connection. We also offer catering for different types of small or larger corporate and private events.
We are conveniently situated near two major arterial roads with a direct connection to the Gateway Motorway to the west and the Pacific Motorway to the south. Our location makes it very easy for guests to arrive from both the north and the south of Brisbane. Despite the proximity of major roads, our site is quiet and distraction-free to allow your guests to focus fully on your program.

Helsinki Room – Our large function room for up to 100 people
Helsinki Room, adjacent to the Poro Café in our Community Centre building, is our largest function room. The Helsinki Room can hold 50 seated guests and seating can be tailored to meet your requirements. If you prefer to host a “cocktail style” event, the space can accommodate up to 100 people.
Our Helsinki Room is a light and airy space with modern AV equipment, and it has hosted numerous family and community events in the past. The location next to Poro Café makes catering very quick and easy.
Suomi Room – Our boardroom for up to 14 guests
Suomi Room – in the Finngym building – is fitted out in boardroom style, with a large meeting table that seats 14 guests. Our Suomi Room is conveniently located in the next building from Helsinki Room and Café Poro. This room is equipped with all the latest in digital communications equipment and can be used for video conferencing, training and education, and general meetings.
In addition to a large meeting table and latest digital technology, the room features a wall-length benchtop servery space for refreshments. We also offer catering in the Suomi Room in case you’d like to enjoy a refreshing morning tea or a delicious lunch in your meeting.
We also cater to your needs
We offer catering for different types of small or larger corporate and private events onsite. For your hassle-free convenience, the Poro Café offers several catering packages for the function room hire, with hot and cold finger foods, lunches, and 2-course main meals as some of the available options. In addition to Finnish and Scandinavian cuisine, we can also cater to most cuisines or style of your choice.
