Finncare Villas is an exclusive living opportunity for people aged 65 years and above. Our 23 villas have been designed to give you the lifestyle for which you’ve worked so hard. The freedom that comes with retirement is something that we all look forward to and having a home in which we can entertain and relax is essential.

Set on a 1.4-hectare block on our Thornlands site only 20 minutes from Brisbane CBD, our villas bring together modern appliances, contemporary architecture, and everything else you would expect of a peaceful home for your retirement. With two spacious bedrooms, a storage friendly kitchen and a wheel-chair accessible bathroom, our units are designed for active retirees who enjoy easy living.

Living in an active and social community is vital to ageing well. With the freedom to come and go as you please, you can enjoy the local community events and facilities. On-site you can enjoy the indoor swimming pool, sauna, and a community barbeque perfect for entertaining with friends and family. Just next door is Finncare and Finnish community hub with café, fully equipped gymnasium, library, allied health consultation rooms, hairdresser, and function rooms.

 

Our villa units are comfortable, practical, and easy to maintain. Finncare Villas operates as secure community. Our villa residents also have access to assistance is via an emergency call system installed in each villa and connected to 24/7 monitoring staff able to assist with emergency services if required.

 

The Finncare Villas staff is dedicated to promoting and supporting the active independent lives of all residents.  Through Finncare Community Care, you can also have temporary or permanent access to experienced nursing and therapy staff, restorative care programs and in-home domestic assistance and personal support. Residents of the Villas are also welcomed to use the facilities of the neighbouring Finncare Aged Care and, join in their many activities and book seats on the Finncare minibus on its regular outings.

How big are the units and how many units are there?

There are 23 villas in the complex. 10 are duplexes and 13 are stand-alone houses. The majority of the villas are 2 bedrooms (one three bedroom). All units have bathrooms with wheelchair access, open plan kitchen and living area, a large covered patio, and a generous single car garage.

 

Can the Villa residents access any services at Finncare Aged Care?

Certain services provided in the residential aged care facility are available to occupants in the retirement village for an individual minor service fee. For example, meals can be taken in the dining room and Villa residents are frequently included in activities arranged for aged care residents. Finncare can also offers in-home personal care and domestic assistance.

 

How much does it cost to live in a Finncare villa?

New residents pay an ongoing Licence Fee. During their occupancy, residents pay an ongoing General Service Fee covering the costs of services provided to the residents. The weekly general services fee covers services supplied to the residents associated with the administration and management of the Villas including items such as gardening, minor maintenance, pool care, rates, and insurance etc. Please contact the office to discuss details.

 

Is there a waiting list for the Finncare Villas?

People who are interested in our retirement village should contact the office for current availability details. The Villa units are provided under a Licence to Occupy agreement and operated by the Finncare Inc.
