Our 23 villas have been designed to give you the lifestyle you’ve worked so hard for. The freedom that comes with retirement is something that we all look forward to, and having a home in which we can entertain and relax is essential.

Set on a 1.4-hectare block on our Thornlands site, our villas offer a peaceful home for your retirement. With two spacious bedrooms, a storage friendly kitchen and a wheel-chair accessible bathroom, our units are designed for active retirees who enjoy easy living. A number of capital projects recently took place at the Villas, and the Village now boasts newly painted roofs, a fresh internal road, new gardens, renovated communal bathrooms and saunas, and more.

Living in an active and social community is vital to ageing well. Just next door is Finncare and the Finnish community hub with café, fully equipped FinnGym, library, allied health consultation rooms, hairdresser, and function rooms.

 

Our villa units are comfortable, practical, and easy to maintain. Our villa residents also have access to assistance is via an emergency call system installed in each villa, connected to emergency services.

 

Through Home Support Services, you can also have access to experienced nursing and therapy staff, restorative care programs and in-home domestic assistance and personal support. Residents of the Villas are also welcome to use the facilities of neighbouring Finncare and join in their many activities (some activities may incur a small fee – please enquire).

How big are the units and how many units are there?

There are 23 villas in the complex. 10 are duplexes and 13 are stand-alone houses. The majority of the villas are 2 bedrooms (one three bedroom). All units have bathrooms with wheelchair access, open plan kitchen and living area, a large covered patio, and a generous single car garage.

 

Can the Villa residents access any services at Finncare Aged Care?

Certain services provided in the residential aged care facility are available to occupants in the retirement village for an individual minor service fee. For example, meals can be taken in the dining room and Villa residents are frequently included in activities arranged for aged care residents. Finncare can also offer in-home personal care and domestic assistance.

 

How much does it cost to live in a Finncare villa?

New residents pay a fee to occupy. During their occupancy, residents pay an ongoing General Services Fee. This fee covers services associated with the administration and management of the Villas including items such as gardening, minor maintenance, pool care, rates, and insurance.

 

Is there a waiting list for the Finncare Villas?

There are currently empty villas available at the Village, and no waiting list. This may change with the recent upgrades, so if you are thinking about it – don’t wait! Call our office on 07 3829 4800 to get your move into the Village underway.
